Description/Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:  Independently responsible for the handling of Underwriting I level loan actions on the Operations Underwriting queue as they reach automated/scoring decision.  Responsible for basic, traditional-minimum analysis of new and servicing actions on the Credit Score/Note Modification template(s).  Also serves as Processing Prep assistance of loan tasks as they enter Operations. 


  • Handling of Underwriting I level actions through the Operations workflow in order to provide optimal turn-time results to the borrowers and loan officers.
  • Basic, traditional-minimum analysis of new and servicing actions on the Credit Score / Note Modification template(s).
  • Provides assistance to Processing I queue, specifically in prepping of loans as they enter the Operations workflow.
  • Monitors underwriting and processing queues for backlogs and recommends changes that will lead to improved efficiency in the process.
  • Completes projects and/or research as assigned by any member of the Operations Management Team.

Required Education

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, or Secretarial Science or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of computer software applications, which may include but not limited to: Adobe, MS Excel, MS Word, CRM, SharePoint, AgDocs, Accounting systems/mainframe/front end, Credit Delivery or other document generation software, report generation, vendor ordering software, and collateral database tracking
  • Overall knowledge and willingness to continually study MAFC, AgFirst, and FCA policy and procedure manuals, and overall understanding of legal terms to ensure proper collateral positions are achieved.
  • May require work beyond normally scheduled hours with little or no advance notice to meet the organizations overall mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Travel to/from other branch offices, associations, AgFirst, or other facilities as deemed necessary.
